What is Therapy?

It’s accessible.

All of our sessions will be through a confidential, HIPAA compliant version of Zoom. This means that there is no commute to and from sessions, saving you time, money, and energy. In the past, location and busy schedules have stopped people from engaging in therapy. Tele-therapy has made therapy much more realistic for many than ever before. Plus, this means that I am able to meet with clients all throughout the state of New York.

It’s collaborative.

We will work together to define your goals and to help you to work towards them. My job is not to tell you what to do because you know yourself the best. We will work together to identify your strengths and successes. We will address barriers that have made progress difficult in the past and will make action plans while evaluating your progress throughout.

It’s modern.

It’s not what you see on TV where the client lays down on a couch and listens to the advice of an 80 year old psychologist. Let’s say goodbye to outdated, stuffy offices, and policies and hello to positive, healthy change. I describe my approach as soft, supportive and real. I am transparent and will answer any questions you may have about the process while we work at a speed that is comfortable for you.
