Katie DeVoll, LCSW
Therapist for College Students & Young Adults
Are you overwhelmed with feeling anxious or sad? Having trouble adjusting to recent changes in your life? You’re in the right place.
I help college students and young adults to feel more confident, empowered, and fulfilled while feeling less anxious, sad, and stuck.
Hi! I’m Katie.
she/her/hers
My job is to support, listen to, and advocate for my clients.
We work together to identify goals and create positive change in a safe, nonjudgemental space.
I prioritize my relationships with my clients. I strive to be warm, curious, compassionate, nonjudgmental, and flexible.
Therapy is definitely not a one-size-fits-all model. Instead, it is a collaborative process between therapist and client. I encourage feedback and remain transparent throughout.
Your story matters. Change is possible.
Therapy for college students & young adults
I help my clients gain insight into their mood and behaviors while exploring new coping skills to help them manage their present and future. I work with my clients to help them feel less anxious, sad, and lonely while feeling more confident, empowered, and at peace.
My specialties include:
Offering online individual therapy across New York State
Online Therapy is:
Confidential: All sessions are through a HIPAA-compliant version of Zoom
Efficient: No commute to & from therapy
Accessible: Take the session on your lunch break or between classes
Private: All you need is a quiet space and a good internet connection
Comfortable: Feel free to connect to the session from somewhere you feel safe - like your bed or couch
Due to licensing restrictions, I can only meet with clients who are in New York at the time of the session. If you have travel plans and will be out of state, we will reschedule for another time once you return.
We may be a good fit if you:
Are looking to gain insight into your past and current behaviors and thoughts
Want to gain support in exploring and making important decisions in your life
Are curious about the root causes of your current challenges in a safe, non-judgmental space
Find yourself weighed down with worries or sadness
Are motivated to improve relationships with others and yourself
We may not be a good fit if you:
Are not able to commit to weekly virtual sessions
Have an active eating disorder requiring an eating disorder specialist
Are engaging in heavy drug or alcohol use
Have a recent psychiatric hospitalization
Are only looking for a psychiatric evaluation, medical paperwork, or ESA letter
